Pictures from July

Ok. I am playing catch-up with the blog. I haven't been very good at keeping this blog updated. I'm going to do a post for each month since Jaden was born. Here are the July pictures.

Announcing the Arrival of Jaden Elizabeth Matheney

Jaden was born on July 2nd at 7:53 am. She is 5 1/2 weeks early but doing great. She weighs 4lb 12oz. Michele was in labor for less than 3 hours with no pain medication. There was not enough time to give Michele any medication. She done great though. Everything happened so fast that the doctors and nurses didn't even have the room ready. Everyone said Jaden is doing great for a baby born so early. Kaitlyn is so excited. All she wants to do is hold Jaden. She has even taken a big interest in baby dolls since Jaden was born. We should all go home on the 4th. Here is a slideshow of a few pictures taken so far.

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!!

Our little girl is now 2 years old. Kaitlyn had a great birthday party this past weekend. There were about thirty people, and lots of gifts. We thought Kaitlyn would be a little shy with all the people around, but she handled it like a big girl. It's hard to believe she is already 2. It seems like time has just flown by. Below are some pictures from the party.

Kaitlyn, Stacey, and Bobby. Stacey let us use her house since ours is too small for 30 people.

Blowing out the candles.

Kaitlyn with her new stroller.

Those pinatas sure are tough. It took quite a while for the kids to bust it open.

Then the fun starts. Getting to pick up all that candy.

She loves SweetTarts

Here are some pictures of who was at the party, some presents, and a picture of the cake.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!

Can you believe we actually got snow this winter season? Even though it was in March. It snowed hard all day Friday and we received about 4 or 5 inches at the house. After work, it seemed like a good time to get Kaitlyn out to play. Who would have thought she would be scared of the snow? Well, it was her first time to play in the snow. We were able to get a few pictures of her though...

Holding her first snowball. She didn't know what to think.

We could barely get this photo. She wasn't too happy to be standing by the snowbaby. The snowman was the size of Kaitlyn so we called it a snowbaby.
More pictures.....

Mom and Kaitlyn. They are so happy.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is our little princess at Anna's Birthday Party

Thank you Nanna for this pretty dress

By the way, Michele had an ultrasound today...
Looks like I'm still out numbered! Baby Girl Matheney (until we find a name) is on the way. And we already had a boy's name picked out... I guess Jackson will not work this time around.

Christmas Pictures and baby update

We have a due date for Kaitlyn's little brother (or sister). The stork is expected to arrive on August 10. That gives us about 7 months to decide on the name (if it's a girl). We already have the boy name picked out.

Here are a few pictures from Christmas.

Who wants to ride in the toy box after Kaitlyn?

If the toy box gets boring, just hop on your own car. This is one of her favorites. It plays music and there is a trunk under the seat.

She just got all kinds of things to ride this year. This one is stationary though.

Here is Kaitlyn's 27-piece tea set. That's enough pieces to have about 5 in each room of the house. And a couple under the couch.

Here is the kitchen. It plays different sounds and will grow with Kaitlyn. It goes great with her tea set.

I'm sure many of you like those little cookies with the Hershey's Kiss in the middle. If you ever find that all the cookies are missing the Kiss, it was probably Kaitlyn. She would grab a cookie off the plate and eat the chocolate. She would then put the cookie back on the plate and get another one. She really has a sweet tooth.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007

Well, I know you haven't seen much on the blog lately, but here is an update. I have posted a few pictures from the last week. Some are from Kaitlyn just playing around, and some are from Christmas parties we went to. We'll try to post some more pictures in the next few days and show what Kaitlyn got for Christmas.

Kaitlyn loves to talk on the phone. She also likes to put her own pants on. She almost put the pants on all by her self. We just had to pull them up for her.

Trying on mom's shoes.

Merry Christmas!!

We cooked breakfast on Christmas Eve. Kailtyn wanted to help.

Did you read what the shirt said??

Yep, sometime next summer (July or August), we are not sure just yet. More information when it is available.

Going to the Zoo

A few weeks ago, we went to Colorado to visit family. We usually go every year or two. This year we done some things we have never done before. One day we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This zoo is on the side of the Rocky Mountains. Luckily, it wasn't a huge zoo since its on the side of a mountain and there are a lot of big hills to walk up. The highlight of the trip were the Giraffes. There was a little booth set up where you could get crackers and feed the long-necked animals. We figured Kaitlyn would love to feed them. We had no idea how much fun she would have. Here are some pictures from the zoo, and a video.

Here is Kaitlyn sitting in a dinosaur egg.

This peacock was nice enough to show us its feathers.

Kaitlyn gives the giraffe a cracker.

The giraffe really had to work for its food. Kaitlyn did not want to let go of the crackers.

After seeing the giraffes, she got to take one home with her. No, not a real one. Where would we put it?

Two tired girls.

Family moment.

Kaitlyn is ready to see more animals.

This big guy walked right up to the glass to check us out.

Mom and Kaitlyn with the sunflowers.

Kaitlyn was ready to stretch her legs.

We went back to the giraffes before we left.

Who knew they has such long tongues.

Kaitlyn was too excited to look at the camera.
